High flow pressure pumps at IFAT

Grinder pumps operate across various voltages

At the IFAT exhibition in Munich, from 30 May–3 June, SAER showcased some of its more requested products from the industrial range, including its high pressure pump series.

Franklin Electric Co., Inc., a manufacturer of submersible electric motors, now offers enhanced IGP Series grinder pumps that can operate on nominal voltages ranging from 208 V to 230 V in one model.

The TMB, TM and TMV are a complete family of multistage pumps made for performance (up to 1000 m3/h 63 bar), with many options available. The series includes eight different families, three different configurations and four different metallurgies – stainless steel AISI 316, bronze, cast iron and DUPLEX. SAER says the series is suitable for applications where high pressure is

required, such as lifting, refrigeration or heating plants, artificial snow or irrigation, washing systems and boilers. Further to high efficiency rates, the family features low noise and high resistance to wear, thanks in part to the oversized ball bearings. The TM and TMB series can also be coupled with diesel engines with SAE3 connection. A soft shaft seal is available as standard, but various types of mechanical seal are also possible. With four production plants based in Itay, SAER says it can offer excellent delivery times for such huge pumps. www.saerelettropompe.com

damage. Other design features include corrosion-resistant brass impellers that minimize downtime and maintenance and an epoxycoated cast iron finish for corrosion resistance and durability. www.franklinengineered.com

The IGP-A (Automatic) and IGP-M (Manual) versions’ powerful motor and construction are designed to handle the tough demands of low pressure sewage applications, utilizing the same reliable patented cutter system at 414,000 cuts per minute. These new units incorporate a non-clogging impeller staged for efficient pumping of sewage slurries with a shut-off head of 130 ft. These pumps are equipped to handle the demands of grinding domestic sewage whether as a replacement pump or a packaged system. Available in an automatic version for single-phase power sources and a manual version for both single-phase and 3-phase power sources, the IGP-A and IGP-M employ a powerful 2 hp singlephase, 3450 rpm with capacitor start/run motor with built-in overload protection to prevent overcurrent and over-temperature

IGP Series grinder pumps are ideal for residential and light commercial sewage waste transfer where high head conditions exist.

Expanded oil-free centrifugal compressor range Atlas Copco says it has expanded its range of ZH and ZH+ oil-free centrifugal compressors to offer industrial process plants energy savings and a wider range of flows and pressures. The expanded range is led by the new ZH+ and ZH 630-1600 kW compressors, which is said to offer high-end turbo technology in a highly efficient package with a small footprint. Joining the recently-launched ZH 355 to 900 kW compressors, the updated line-up replaces the former ZH 4000 to 15000 range. The more advanced ZH+ compressors are based on an all-inclusive plug-

and-play concept, with intelligent control and remote monitoring capabilities. Overall, the new range is said to offer users a total energy efficiency gain of approximately 6%, thereby allowing customers to achieve a smaller electricity bill year-on-year. Additionally, the smaller footprint of the new machines, compared with their predecessors, makes for easier installation and location of the units within a multitude of process environments. With their proven turbo power, the new ZH+ and ZH units are

designed to serve a wide spectrum of compressed air applications within the automotive, electronics, glass, metal and gas processing sectors. Atlas Copco says the entire range of ZH+ and ZH compressors is certified to provide 100% pure, clean air that complies with ISO 8573-1 CLASS 0 (2010) certification. This standard means zero risk of contamination, zero risk of damaged or unsafe products and zero risk of losses from operational downtime. Atlas Copco was the first manufacturer in the world to receive such certification for its oil-free compressor.
