USFilter wins $1 5 million Ohio contract A 15-year operations and maintenance agreement, valued at approximately $1 million annually, has been signed between HSEilter and the city of Springboro, Ohm, to manage its water and wastewater treatment plants. The agreement with HSFilter's Operating Services group includes the management of a 2 million gallons/day wastewater treatment plant, a 2.2 million gallons/day water treatment plant and a 7 milhon gallons/day water treatment plant currently under construction. The new drinking water facility is scheduled to begin operations this summer, and once operational the exxsting water treatment plant will close. HSFilter has operated the existmg wastewater and water treatment plants since the early 1990s. According to its Operating Services group, approximately $1 million will be spent on installing capital equipment to upgrade the wastewater treatment plants. The new water treatment plant will incorporate USFilter's Wallace & Tiernan chemical feed equipment and USFilter's General Filter gravity filters, while the wastewater plant upgrades will include USFilter's CPC screening compactor equipment.
