Pump Industry Awards 2006

WaterAid celebrates 25 years The BPMA will be celebrating WaterAid's 25 birthday with a Grand Charity Raffle at this year's Pump Industry Awards Gala Dinner, being held on Tuesday 17 October 2006 at the Britannia Royal Court Hotel in Coventry, UK. The association hopes to meet the magnificent figure of £3,405.00 which was raised at last year's event, through the generosity of the pump industry professionals. All members and non-members alike are invited to donate a birthday gift to WaterAid, to help raise money for this very worthy cause. A gift will help WaterAid provide water to some of the poorest communities in the developing world. There are three easy ways to donate a birthday gift: donate a raffle prize for the 'Grand Charity Raffle'; Donate an auction prize; and/or make a monetary donation to WaterAid. From humble beginnings, WaterAid has become a formidable force in the struggle to ensure that, in this new millennium of development and technology, the world's poorest are not left without the most basic of requirements – water and sanitation. The charity has already helped more than nine million people take their first step out of poverty bringing health, dignity and the time to go to work or school, and with continued support, WaterAid soon hopes to be providing one million people with these life saving essentials every year.

Your support and participation will be profiled on the night itself and further media coverage will be provided through the pages of World Pumps, BSEE and Process & Control magazines, through the BPMA, World Pumps and the WaterAid newsletters and on: • www.pumpindustryawards.com • www.bpma.org.uk • www.wateraid.org • www.connectingindustry.com WaterAid is grateful for the support it receives from across the pump industry, allowing it to help some of the world's poorest communities gain access to safe water, adequate sanitation and hygiene education.
